Senior Graduation Requirements

The following items are REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION! Please read this in its entirety.
From the Counseling Office:
• Forms given at the 3/5/19 senior meeting need to be turned in to the counseling office by Friday, May 3rd.
Preparing for Graduation:
• All delinquent books or other items (CAMERAS, CHOIR ROBES, CALCULATORS, ETC) are due to the teacher/coach that assigned them to you before May 10th.
• Senior final exams will have an alternate schedule. It is YOUR responsibility to schedule these finals with your teachers.
Attire for Graduation:
• Graduation Cap and Gown is required.
• Ladies need to wear a dress, appropriate skirt or pants and a nice top with dress shoes.
• Gentlemen need to wear ties, collared shirts, and dress pants with dress shoes.
• DO NOT WEAR tennis shoes, flip flops, sandals, tank tops or jeans/jean shorts.
• If you do not have appropriate attire, please see Ms. Chastain before graduation practice.
• CAPS must be plain – no bedazzling, monogramming, decorating of any kind.
GRADUATION EXPECTATIONS:
• ATTENDANCE AT GRADUATION PRACTICE IS MANDATORY! This means, if you do not attend graduation practice, you will NOT be allowed to walk at graduation. The date of this event will be announced when graduation dates are set by the Board of Education.
* Arrival time to Rupp Arena will be announced when graduation dates are set. You will be expected to arrive by the announced time in order to walk. Failure to do so will result in your name being pulled from the walking order.
• Pay ALL delinquent and current year fees and return all textbooks.
• Make good decisions regarding your behavior during the last month of school.
• Attend GRADUATION PRACTICE on Friday, May 31st at 8:30 a.m.
• Follow the graduation dress code.
• Arrival time at Rupp Arena is 3:30 p.m. and the line will close at 4:00 p.m.! Traffic is always high
around Rupp Arena and everyone has to go through a metal detector prior to checking in for
attendance. So, allow yourself plenty of time. Upon entering Rupp Arena, you will be directed to sign in
before proceeding to your assigned side. If you are not checked-in by 4:00 p.m. your diploma will be
pulled from stage and you will NOT walk!
