As the weather starts to warm and we approach the new season, students are gearing up for spring break on April 7-11. Spring break is the perfect time to relax and have fun. Although many students travel during the break, there are plenty of fun places to spend time with friends and family while making great memories in Lexington.
If students enjoy spending their time outside, the Kentucky Horse Park is a great place to go and visit. Visitors can see amazing horses, go horseback riding, and even watch a live demonstration of draft horses. The horse park costs $18 for adults season, $8 for children, $16 for seniors and is free for toddlers.
Another great option is Raven Run Nature Sanctuary, where visitors hike the trails and enjoy the beautiful nature they have to offer. Spring is the perfect time to see nature after the cold winter months.
For those who love good food and shopping, Fayette Mall is a great place for students to spend their day. It has delicious fast food and trendy stores. Visitors can grab a drink, shop for new clothes, and have fun with family and friends. If students want more things to do, downtown Lexington has fun coffee and local shops to check out. Lexington has so many more places to hang out over spring break.
Malibu Jacks has even more exciting things to do with friends. It's a wonderful indoor amusement park with arcade games, go-karts, mini-golf, and laser tag. The weekend passes cost $34.99 for a 4-hour all-access pass and $5 for bowling per person. For the group packages, it's 11:30 pm-6 a.m., $ 24.99 per person for unlimited attractions, arcade, bowling, and shoe rental, plus pizza and drinks $5 per person.
Right next to Malibu Jacks is Gattitown, with an all-you-can-eat buffet, movies, games, and mini rides. The price for seniors is $11.98, $13.98 for teens, $9.98 for kids ages three to ten, and free for kids zero to two years old. These places are fun to visit for a day out, especially if the weather is not that good.
Whether students spend their spring break exploring nature, shopping or hanging out with family and friends, they don't have to go too far to have a great time. Enjoy your spring break with local Lexington fun.
