January 29, 2018
Lafayette basketball has been on the grind lately, having played three huge games against great teams in the last 10 days. They played Scott County, Dunbar, and Henry Clay. Those teams combined are 41-22.
Lafayette traveled to Scott County to challenge the highly talented Cardinals. They hung in there, and went blow for blow with the top-ranked team in the region, but sadly, came up just shy of a win. Losing 75-68. Cameron King led scoring with 18 points, and Ray Surratt added 10 points and 9 rebounds. The Cardinals were led by Cooper Robb with 28 points, and Michael Moreno had 19 points and 12 rebounds.
The next two games went better than the Scott County game, as they won two close games by a combined 9 points against Henry Clay and Dunbar. Evan Dreux had a combined 31 points in both games and Eric Powell added a combined 11 rebounds.
