Lafayette Basketball and Playoff Preview

Blake Bethune, Sports Editor

Lafayette has wrapped up the basketball season and is now ready for the playoffs! Since the last article, the Generals went 3-3 in a 6-game span. In that 6-game span, they had a big win against Bryan Station, and they lost to Lexington Catholic(twice) and Trinity, who combined have a record of 50-10.

Lafayette plays Dunbar next in a win-or-go-home game, on Wednesday night at LCA. This game is the beginning of the pursuit of Lafayette’s 7th State Title. Lafayette has a very tough road ahead of them, as Region 11 has 7 teams that have 18+ wins. Lafayette is 2-0 against Dunbar this year, winning 86-73 in December, and 54-49 in January. Lafayette is 7-1 in neutral location games, while Dunbar is 3-3 in those such games.

Be sure to come out to LCA on Wednesday night and support your Generals!
