2018 Homecoming Dance

Tylar Seavers, Staff Writer

Homecoming  is a tradition that is honored and loved by the students. Students nominate their fellow classmates to be on the court, two from each class are selected and two seniors are chosen to become Homecoming King and Queen.

This year’s Homecoming Court is:

Freshman: Caden Prigge and Cassidy Turner

Sophomore: Christian Hall and Loran Smith

Junior: Johnathan Hurley and Tatum Fowler

Senior nominees: Ben Tonks, Ni’Kerrion McDonald, Matthew Wirsakti, David Medina, Katherine Allen, Connor Perry, Helen Feibes, and Autumn Hines

Homecoming King and Queen: Ni’Kerrion McDonald and Katherine Allen

Congratulations to our Homecoming Court winners! Caden Prigge, tells us this about winning Freshman King, “I love how much of an honored thing Homecoming is. The Homecoming game, the nominations, and the dance itself is just such a fun thing to be a part of”.

The Homecoming Dance took place on Saturday, November 10th. The theme this year was City of Lights. The decor included city skylines and street lights, along with hanging lanterns and lights. Desserts and refreshments were readily available for everyone to enjoy. The DJ for the dance was Kentucky Pro DJ – the same DJ hired for the previous dances last year such as: Homecoming, Prom, and Dance Blue. The dance was from eight o’clock to eleven o’clock in the Lafayette cafeteria.

Over 800 students attended the dance this year, almost 300 more than last year.
