World Music Club

Ariana Spencer, Staff Writer

The World Music Club, sponsored by Ms. Clara Graham, meets on the first and third Thursday of every month from 3:30-5:00 in room  230.  They learn about and listen to music from different countries all around the world. Some of the members even learn to dance and sing to the music just for fun and have a blast doing it. They all come together and bond over the music.

World Music Club is a great way to make new friends and find people that have the same taste in music. The club has a diverse culture of people that come together and learn about other cultures’ music. The students in the world music club are putting song ideas like pop, R&B, rap, and slow music into a small bucket and pull out one to listen to in their next meeting.

In their next meeting (11/15) they are going to focus on slow music.

Mikaela Scott, a sophomore in the club said, “The World Music Club is a safe place for people of many cultures or people who just like music to come and enjoy the music artists from all over the world have to offer. We eat snacks, hang out, and share our favorite songs from many areas of the world including Latin America, Asia, and Europe. I am so happy to be involved in this club and I have met so many amazing people! I highly recommend [this club] anyone who loves music to come!”.
