Archery Tournament at Dunbar High School

On Saturday, December 1st the Lafayette Archery team competed in the Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldog Classic. Around 40 Lafayette students competed in the tournament. For Lafayette, the tournament lasted from 8am to 1pm.

Lafayette competed against Harrison County High School, Henry Clay High School, Lexington Catholic High School, Summit Christian Academy, Tates Creek High School, Trinity Christian Academy, Woodford County High School, and the host of the tournament, Dunbar High School. In addition to these schools, the team competed against five middle schools and one elementary school.

Lafayette placed first with a score of 3409 and a total of 209 tens overall. The top two boys from Lafayette were, Colin Ferguson and Cole Murphy. The top two girls were Aubrey Dawson and Madison Evans.

This tournament was the second tournament in a row Lafayette has won first place and has had the top two archers for both girls and boys.
