Youth Service Center Teen Board
December 13, 2018
Youth Service Center (YSC) Teen Board is a student advisory council for the youth service center (YSC). These students work together to assist the YSC and sponsor activities and programs for Lafayette. The club starts their service in September and after that has bi-monthly meetings on Mondays after school. The club also has retreats 3-4 times on the weekends.
The Youth Service Center Teen Board focuses on team building and leadership training. Member of the club, Kamille B. says, “The YSC Teen Board helps people out and that’s what I like about it. I’ve made many friends and bonds and I think everyone should be apart of this.” The Youth Service Center Teen Board also works and teaches about diversity education.
The Youth Service Center focuses on building bonds and friendships, as well as helping our school community. It is a great way to get involved with your school and peers. The Youth Service Center teaches students lessons that can be used later in life.
If interested students are to apply for an interview at the beginning of the school year. Applications are available outside the youth service center, and you can contact Mrs. Chastain for more information. You can contact Mrs. Chastain at [email protected] or go see her in room 116.
