Chamber Band Concert
March 13, 2019
The Lafayette Band’s chamber groups preformed on February 27, in Beeler Auditorium here at our school. For those of you who don’t know what a chamber group is, don’t fret. These groups focus only on one instrument, so every instrument Lafayette has, was given the chance to work solely as a section on concert pieces. This gives students the opportunity to step back from the craziness of their normal concert classes, and work with their section. It also gives the students a chance to play different parts and instruments, they wouldn’t normally play.
The groups at the concert included: the Lafayette Saxophone Quartet, National Trumpet Competition Ensemble, the Low Brass Choir (instructed by Taylor Rock), the French Horn Choir (instructed by Nathan Baker), the Double Reed Choir (instructed by David Powell), the Clarinet Choir (Dennis McElroy), the Saxophone Choir (Jonathon Nickell), the Trumpet Choir (Jonathon Stites), the Flute Choir (Candance James), and the Trombone Choir (Colby Norton).
