Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour has been part of many lives for two years, whether you are a fan or not. And after 149 shows, it has come to a close. The last three shows Swift performed were in Vancouver, Canada, and there is a lot to unpack, including a possible movie or documentary, the best fan projects, and the saddest surprise songs to exist.
The most surprising thing that Swift did was repeat the same outfits in all three shows while a camera crew filmed every performance. This is important because she did the same thing when she was finishing the first US leg. A month later, we got “The Eras Tour Movie.” But since then, she changed and added to the setlist. Many fans think this will give her a reason to release a new concert movie or documentary.
Fan projects have been a part of The Eras Tour since the beginning, but the Vancouver Swifties came up with the best ones yet. Fan projects are something that the fans come up with for their shows to surprise Taylor. The night one crowd sang, “Welcome to BC! It’s been waiting for you!” in the tune of one of Swift’s popular songs, “Welcome to New York.”
The night two audience visited this website Night 2 — Vancouver Eras Tour Fan Project and clicked on the photo according to their section. Once they pulled up the photo, it would say “Thank You” in each of Swift’s album’s aesthetic. The crowd then chanted ‘Thank you, thank you, thank you!’. It was one of the sweetest things done on the tour. On the final night, they sang Happy Birthday as loud as they could after Swift sang the song “Champagne Problems.” Swift had a birthday coming up and they wanted to celebrate with her.
The surprise songs for all three nights were just amazing. On the first night, she sang a mashup of the songs “Never Grow Up” and “The Best Day” as a nod to her family, who has supported her throughout the tour. On the second night, she brought out her opener, Gracie Abrams, to sing a mashup of one of Abram’s songs, “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” with Swift’s song “Last Kiss.” We can expect this performance to be in the suspected movie because before Swift brought Abrams onstage, she sai,d “This is the last time I will be able to bring a guest onstage..” which was odd. After all, it wasn’t even the last night of the tour. And for the very last show, she sang a mashup of her songs “Long Live,” “New Year’s Day,” and “The Manuscript”. This gut-wrenching mashup had many fans bawling. All three of those songs were her saying goodbye to the tour, which has been one of the best parts of her and our lives.
The Eras Tour was performed in 54 cities in 21 countries across five continents. The show’s largest audience was in Melbourne, Australia, with 96,000 attendees. The fans are so proud of her and cannot wait to see what she does next!
