Writing Teacher Assistant Program

This new semester the English department is implementing the Writing Teacher Assistant Program.

Mrs. Ybarrola is the overseer of the program for its introduction to the school. In the program, students will act as advanced peer tutors to other students. Teachers will reserve writing assistants and the student will come to their room during that block and assist others with their writing. One of the best parts of this program is that it does not need to be exclusive to the English department. Social Studies or government classes can use the assistants during essay assignments and science classes can use the assistants for lab reports and other essays.
The Writing Teacher Assistants themselves have been thoroughly trained and prepared to take on any task they are handed. They were picked and nominated by their English teachers because they demonstrated their English skills. The writing teacher assistants skilsl will assist others in their own writing process and ability.
Teachers can request to reserve students with the Lab and Resource Scheduler sent out by Mrs. Ybarrola.
