Could Snow Days Effect The Length Of The School Day?

A couple years ago we had a very snowy and cold winter. That winter  caused us to have many snow days and less of a summer break, but because of this we missed too many days to tack on at the end of the school year. So to find a solution the school board added an extra 30 min to the school day. That year was not very common. Normally we never get that much snow, but now with the prolonged winter and snow in spring, it’s likely to happen once again in the near future.

Typically, we have to go to school until the end of May which gives us  two months of summer break. Of course, there is a cutoff in June of how many days we could potentially make-up in case of a lot of snow days. So if we meet that cutoff, but still have days to make up it could be debated that we need to tack time onto the  days get a little longer. Whether this will or won’t happen or if its good or bad we don’t know and will hopefully never find out.
