The Lafayette High school boys track team has their regional championship this Saturday at Henry Clay. The team is led by the Sophomore sprinter Will Wharton. Currently, he is the top 400 meter runner in the state of Kentucky. He has proven himself to be one of the top Sophomore runners to ever come out of the state of Kentucky.

We also have one of the top Freshman groups in the state through the 800 meter run. Lucus Doneghy, his personal best being 2:02.19, making him the fastest Freshman in the state of Kentucky. Will Cahill is a 3200 meter specialist and has ran the number 10 frosh time in the state with a 10:27.9. Right now we stand in 3rd place with a 3:26.8. best time, and the fastest time for Lafayette high school since 2001. Michael Iweimrin got the gold in the triple jump. Our boys 4×400 meter relay has battled with private school St. X and Louisville male all season for a number 1 spot.
