University Research Seminar Night

On May 24th Seniors from Lafayette High School will participate in University Research Seminar Night. This will occur in Lafayette’s library from 6:oo-7:30. Students participating will present scientific posters displaying their work in University Research. They have been out in their field all year collecting research and learning from professionals. Some examples of research fields kids went into include Astronomy, Anthropology, and Biomedical Engineering.

The class is very exclusive and very few students get in. Pre-engineering students dominate the “class” as a majority. Even though it is technically a class, students don’t meet in a classroom. They go off to a college (usually UK) and study with a professor or field expert.

Students are eager to present their research as they have been working hard all year.
