The Lafayette Book and Film Club was a club organized by students and was open to all grades. It focused on the love of books and films and used to meet every other Wednesday.

At club meetings, they would discuss the content they had read, for the sections of the chosen books, they had read. After they finished reading the books the Lafayette Book and Film club would get together for another club meeting. At these meetings, they would gather for a party where they would watch the movie  of the novel the group chose to read, and enjoy beverages and popcorn. The previous years’ sponsor Mrs. Franklin said when interviewed  ” I haven’t had this club in a year and I am at a hiatus with the club at this moment. I don’t really have any plans to start up this club again”.

The Lafayette book and film club has a read a variety of books and watched many films in the past. If you enjoy films and books this club would have been perfect for you.  A previous member of the club Katelyn R. said when interviewed ” I liked this club a lot and it was a fun after-school activity, and I have had Mrs. Franklin as a teacher before and she also was a part of the reason why I liked this club so much. I wish it would have continued on”.
