With prom coming up soon, the Acts of Kindness club is planning a prom dress drive to get ready. The prom dress drive is where people donate their old, or new, dresses.  This gives girls that want to go to prom, but can not afford a dress, a chance to find their dream dress for free.

After you have donated a dress, the AOK club members will take them and organize an event where girls can try on the dresses and choose one they like. Donation stations will be set up in room 102, 103, and 133. You can also see Mrs. Baker for more information on donating.

The Acts of Kindness club is planning to hold the drive sometime in March, with a specific date being announced soon. They also plan to hold it in a church on a Friday afternoon. They are taking any and all types of dresses so you can donate anything. “We’re working on big things [for] the prom dress drive. We will be collecting prom dresses for the girls and it doesn’t matter if you donate fancy dresses or plain dresses because they will get to pick what they like and they’ll get to go to prom” says Asmita Karki, a member of the Acts of Kindness club. So, go donate a dress to give someone a chance to go to prom!
