After a long 2 years, Lafayette has won a game beating Louisville Moore 25-15 in a 4th quarter comeback. Lafayette’s offensive player of the game, Nemo Jarber had 2 catches for 58 yards and a touchdown, Quarterback DJ Walker had a great game himself having 178 passing yards and a touchdown and also having 112 rushing yards and a touchdown. I’m sure Lafayette was proud of the offensive performance that they had as it contributed greatly to them grabbing the win, as they were more efficient in the passing game 14-21 in complications and throwing 0 picks. I would like them to improve on turnovers heading into this week as they had 3 fumbles that were recovered by Moore, even though they lost the turnover battle they were still able to get the win.
Lafayette was better defensively as well, sacking Moore quarterback Javis Wallace twice and picking him off twice, one of those picks being returned for a touchdown. He was held to 80 yards passing which made him go 9-26 compilation-wise, and only allowed 199 yards total offensive yards. Their next game is against rival Henry Clay to start district play, but this week Lafayette is going into their bye week with a promising look for the rest of the season.
